The Mama turned 69 yesterday. Holy cow....my mom is almost seventy. Hard to imagine since she has so much spirit, love and still the same ole craziness that I love in her. I am so thankful that she came into my life.
Her friend Lil (this was one of her room-mates when she first struck out nearly 50 yrs ago) was in town and we all hung out. I think it was destiny that these two women would become and remain friends.......crazy sticks to crazy....LOL
I took them out to brunch (cause they had a big fish fry dinner planned with some friends and they didn't want to be too full...LOL) and then off to MOSI IMAX.
I introduced The Mama to IMAX a couple of years ago and now it's something we really like to do together.
Today was Wild Ocean. Mom slept through most of it except for the parts I nudged her awake.
Even though she was asleep, it was wonderful to be sitting there next to her and chuckling at her boredom.
It was a day that I will treasure.
